The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Autumn gold of Oak Island by Karen Cook - There is so much to see as you take a walking tour of Oak Island Nova Scotia! The island is privately owned and you can only tour the island on guided tours that sell out in minutes (yes minutes) months in advance.

Fortunate enough to have these tickets in my hand (treasure indeed!) we started our walking tour. The rest of the group was walking ahead, listening intently to the knowledge being imparted by the guide. Where was I? At the back of the group, looking everywhere but where the guide was pointing!

There is natural treasure on the island...in the form of hundreds of trees, mossy covered hills, ponds and of the course, the stunning coastline the island shares with Mahone Bay.

One of 365 islands in Mahone Bay, Oak Island is home to the longest running treasure hunt in the world.

As the story goes, in the late 1700s, 3 young men discovered a depression in the ground under an oak tree on the island. Believing...
