The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Eyrie of Oak Island by Karen Cook - As we sailed around the world famous Oak Island in Nova Scotia's Mahone Bay with skipper Tony Sampson of Salty Dog Tours, we were of course, interested in the history of this intriguing island.
But my eye was drawn to this one tree, that had started to change its summer colors of green to an intense orange..the only one in Autumn colors on the seashore. And right next to it, was a tall, dead tree, stripped of any foliage. At the top I was thrilled to see an enormous Osprey nest, or eyrie.
According to Tony, this nest has been there for many years and the ospreys return to it, year after year to raise their young.
The Osprey is the official bird for the province of Nova Scotia. Larger than a hawk, but smaller than an eagle, it is a proficient hunter, especially of fish. They nest in high elevated sites, where the nest is safe from predat...
