The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Shores of gold and hidden treasures by Karen Cook - Whether there is still gold buried on Oak Island in Nova Scotia's Mahone Bay or not is still an unanswered question, but I found gold in the autumn leaves lining the shoreline!

Located in Mahone Bay on the east coast of Canada in Nova Scotia, Oak Island is one of more than 350 islands in the bay and is home to what is regarded as the world's longest running treasure hunt.

As the story goes, in the late 1700s, 3 young boys discovered a depression in the ground under an oak tree on the island. Believing that pirates including Captain Kidd had buried treasure, they dug a hole, discovering a series of platforms, at different intervals and depths. According to the legend, some believe they discovered buried treasure but left due to superstition and fear.

The story was published in local newspapers and the fame of the island spread....
